  • RT Courses

  • Who can attend the ATC-Comm courses?

    ATC-Comm provides courses for (future) pilots, aviation Ground staff, air traffic controllers and aeronautical station operators (ASO).

  • Which courses are provided by ATC-Comm?

    VFR and IFR Radiotelephony for Pilots and Radiotelephony and General Aviation English and Radiotelephony for aviation Ground Staff. ATC-Comm is also certified to do the Language Proficiency Exam for (future) pilots, air traffic controllers and aeronautical station operators (ASO).

  • Why should I follow my RT course at ATC-Comm?

    Because ATC-Comm provides a course on a highly professional level in a relative short amount of course-hours with an almost 100% graduation-level.

  • How many hours of training does the VFR Course for pilots involve?

    The VFR Course consists of 6 lessons of each 2,5 hours.

  • How many hours of training does the IFR Course for pilots involve?

    The IFR Course consists of 4 lessons of each 2,5 hours.

  • How are these courses provided?

    Via the internet (called: distance learning) or on request in the traditional classroom.

  • How does the RT training via the internet work?

    To follow the course you have to log in on our website www.atc-comm.com and you will see a (mode-s) transponder and a (8.33/ 25kHz) aircraft radio. We can give you a free demo of the system if you want to. During the course you are operating these devices and the instructor can read out the settings on his screen via the internet. Direct Communication via Voice over IP will take place with the instructor after installing a small Communication program which can be downloaded. What you need is a computer with an internet connection and a microphone or headset. A training book will be sent to you. After a theoretical introduction we will practice virtual flights to improve the experience in communicating via the standard RT language. The training is ICAO compliant and we have trained many students successfully this way worldwide. The instructors are experienced RT instructors with an ATC background.

  • What are the benefits of lessons via the internet?

    You will receive a high quality course via the internet and you are in direct communication with the instructor. This will save you travel costs and time

  • How many times a year can I do my RT exam?

    We take exams many times a year. Sometimes on a weekly base

  • LPE exam

  • When do I receive my certificate?

    We strive to have your results ready within 3-5 business days after the test. You will receive an e-mail together with a certificate that you can present to your local CAA for (renewal of) your Language Rating.

  • Do I need to inform the local Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of my results?

    Yes, it is your own responsibility to inform your local Civil Aviation Authority, when you request a (new) license you include a copy of your LPE certificate.

  • What happens when my Internet connection fails during the LPE?

    You can log in again and continue from the last answered question.

  • Can I log out and continue the LPE later?

    Yes you simply use your user ID and password to log in again and the test will continue from your last answered question.

  • What if I achieve Level 4 on only one component of the test

    If you achieve a Level 4 on only one component of the test, then you will pass the LPE with a Level 4. The lowest achieved score of your test will determine the score of the LPE. So only in case you achieve a Level 3 or lower, you will have to retake te test. Results from previous tests are not carried forward
